Choosing the right size fan is key to getting the best performance and efficiency.

What Size Ceiling Fan do I need ?

Ceiling fans are an efficient, stylish and cost effective way to improve comfort in any room, both in summer to keep cool and in winter to improve heating efficiency.

To get the best performance from your fan it is important to consider room size when choosing. Typically a ceiling fan is measured from the tip of one blade to the tip of the opposite blade, called ‘Blade Sweep’. At Hunter Pacific we have a range of fans for all room sizes.

Why Does Size Matter?

The ‘Blade Sweep’ or diameter of a ceiling fan impacts how much air a fan can move – If the fan is too small for the room it won’t move enough air, too large and it can overpower the space, even create drafts and generally look “out of place”. Either way the fan won’t be working as efficiently as designed.
